Our Mission

Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship is committed to improving the lives of individuals impacted by disabilities and unique challenges through equine assisted services.

 

Our History

Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship was founded in 1985 by three pioneering women, serving five riders with the help of one pony.  Today, we serve over 5,100 patients and participants annually.

Premier Accredited Center

Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship is a Premier Accredited Center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship, International (PATH Intl.), which is the governing body that sets the standards for equine therapy worldwide.

The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) has a very clear mission, to promote safety and optimal outcomes in equine-assisted activities and therapies for individuals with special needs.  CTRH’s strong commitment to PATH and its standards, ensures that our participants have the safest and most effective equine-assisted experience.
